Ombuds & ADR Systems Design

Organizational Ombuds:  The International Ombudsman Association defines an organizational ombudsman as “a designated neutral who is appointed or employed by an organization to facilitate the informal resolution of concerns of employees, managers, students and, sometimes, external clients of the organization.”  


Our Technical Assistance Team has provided ADR consulting services in North America, South America, Europe, and Africa.  We assist organizations analyze the root cause of: (1) workplace disputes; and/or (2) defective organizational dispute resolution processes. In response to this analysis, we design and implement customized Ombuds and/or ADR systems that are designed to address targeted issues.  Service objectives include: 


  • Minimizing the number and frequency of disputes;
  • Saving costs on the administration of disputes;
  • Streamlining dispute resolutions systems within the administration of mergers, acquisitions, and/or partnerships;
  • Resolving disputes faster;
  • Avoiding business interruption;
  • Achieving results that are stable and enforceable;
  • Maintaining good relationships with stakeholders;
  • Avoiding protracted disputes by anticipating and providing a framework to address future disputes; and 
  • Developing processes that are flexible enough to handle and address an array of dispute.
